Pirates and Paws

The Hideaway Brew Garden hosts the Pirates and Paws special event on Sunday, June 6.  This is a family-friendly and family-inspired event with a pirate theme. You are invited and encouraged to wear your favorite pirate attire and be ready to have fun with Scottie the Parrot, Captain Jack Sparrow, and others.  A pirate costume is not required, but it will make for great fun.  What better way to have your photo taken than in your pirate costume, posing with Jack Sparrow and holding every pirate's favorite parrot, Scottie the Parrot.

The full event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Dog Race Registration is at 12:00 Noon
Dog Races will be running from 1:00 to 3:00 PM
Captain Jack Sparrow will be on site during the afternoon
Live Music and dancing throughout the event

Get ready for an evening of excitement and high adventure!

White Claw and the Hideaway Brew Garden and Bar
at the Now Arena will be presenting the movie:
"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"
on its Thirsty Theater, Thursday evening, June 27th.
This is the movie that started it all and is the first in the movie franchise.  This is a family-friendly and family-inspired event with a pirate theme.

Don't just come out to sit and watch the movie, but rather feel like you are part of it.  Scottie the Parrot, the Midwest's and the Caribbean's most loveable and favorite parrot, will be there, and he'll be joined by his two favorite pirates, Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.  

So, put on your favorite pirate costume and portray one of the characters from the movie.  Scottie himself will be play-acting the role of Mr. Cotton's parrot (See below). Cotton was one Jack Sparrow's crew and the pirate who could not speak and his parrot did all the talking for him.

Image the fun you will have, dressed as a character from the movie, Scottie on your shoulder, and both Jack Sparrow and Will Turner at your side, as you pretend to battle Barbossa and his skeleton crew of pirates that are under the curse of the Black Pearl.  Be sure to bring your camera or smart phone.

The full event runs from approximately 8:00 to 11:30 PM
The movie will start after dusk at approximately
9:00 PM and is expected to end by 11:30 PM
Food and Drink will be available
for purchase throughout the evening.
Jack Sparrow and Will Turner will be on site that evening.

The Hideaway Brew Garden is both kid and dog friendly.
This event is especially intended to be a family event.

NEW DAY & TIME: The 90's Hawaiian Luau is now on Sunday!

The Hideaway Brew Garden and Bar is featuring a 1990's themed Hawaiian Luau.  

The full event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Scottie the Parrot will be on site from 12:30 - 2:30 PM to greet, hang out, and take photos with you.

In addition to Scottie, there will also be music provided by Ten Chicago - A Tribute to Pearl Jam
and music by Super-Unknown - Tribute to Soundgarden, Audioslave, & Temple of the Dog.

The 90's Hawaiian Luau is sponsored by the Now Arena and the Village of Hoffman Estates.

Mount Prospect Fall Festival

12:00 Noon - 4:00 PM

Catch Scottie in Mount Prospect for their Fall Festival. Scottie will be appearing for your entertainment and to touch and hold.  Be sure to bring your camera or smart phone so you can capture your or your children's picture with him.  

Just as last year, Scottie's appearance will be for a full 4 hours  He will be performing for a private group of special needs individuals from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.  If you or someone in your family falls into this group, be sure to check in as such and get the special band and have access to Scottie during this special hour.  He will only be serving those guest with the special wrist band. After 1:00 PM he will be available to the general public.  Look for him as he wanders the festival between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

The 2024 festival will be running rain or shine in downtown Mount Prospect, IL in the Downtown Mt. Prospect merchant district at the Corner of Emerson and Busse Ave. in front of the Village Hall.  The event is being sponsored by the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchant's Association.  Stores will be open and merchants will appreciate your patronage.

Everyone, especially the children, are invited to wear their costume.
